Project Overview
The Climate Finance programme was funded by Irish Aid through Trócaire and implemented by CeRID. It brought together community climate adaptation, mitigation, capacity building, and policy engagement to help vulnerable communities respond to climate change.

To strengthen community resilience to climate impacts while supporting practical, locally appropriate pathways toward sustainable development.

- Support communities to adapt to extreme weather and changing rainfall patterns.
- Promote sustainable agriculture, disaster risk reduction, renewable energy, and other lower-carbon practices.
- Build local knowledge and skills for climate-resilient development.
- Strengthen policy dialogue and advocacy for effective climate action and finance.
Emerging Impact
The programme established an integrated framework for climate action across four focus areas. By connecting practical community interventions with learning and policy engagement, it supported a more coordinated response to both immediate climate risks and longer-term resilience needs.
